After being introduced by MOFA Minister Joseph Wu as the bastion of Czech democracy and the conscience of Czech society, President of the Czech Senate Miloš Vystrčil made a very moving speech titled "Deeds are the Best Words" at 國立政治大學 National Chengchi University (NCCU) earlier today, in which he compared the trajectory of both #Taiwan and the #CzechRepublic in the democratization process and said his trip to Taiwan was his way of making good on a vow he made to himself at the beginning of his political career to always #StandForFreedom. He also praised the #TaiwanModel of #PandemicPrevention and expressed his dissatisfaction at the behavior of the World Health Organization with regard to Taiwan. But his closing words really gave us food for thought:
“Please, be reminded that the freedom, truth and justice are your best sword.
Please, be reminded that the freedom, truth and justice are your best armour.
I beg you, take the best care of your sword and armour.”
